I don't know... somehow I expect Smurfmelody to twirl her staff like a cane, team up with Michigan J. Frog from Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes and belt out "Hello my smurfy, hello my honey, hello my Smurfy Grove..."

Pairings I'm predicting:

Papa Smurf x Willow

Hefty x Stormy

Clumsy x Lily

I'm also betting on Papa x Willow and Hefty x Storm.^_^  Although I also think Storm and Gutsy would be a good match too, despite it being crossover crack.  Either way, my male Smurfs OCs will finally have some other choices for girlfriends.

When I was a teenager I created an OC named Melody Smurf, who was a Smurfling and was as girly as Sassette is a tomboy. Looking back, it was horrible as were most of my stories. :)

I wonder if this Smurf Melody was created just for Megan Trainor. The last two Smurf movies were full of one-time-only characters for celebrities to voice themselves Smurf-ified, like Shaquille O'Neal as Smooth Smurf.

perhaps both, especially since they will have Gordon Ramsay as a Smurf in this movie

Damn it, I love them all.^_^  Do I wish that Lily, Storm, Blossom, and Melody have different hair colors?  Of course I do, but that's what head canons/AUs are for.

That's because she's a mutant turtle and green clothes would've clashed with her skin.  Green clothes and mutant turtles do not mix.^^;

I would actually like Sony to reboot the Smurfs as an all-new animated TV or Netflix series. Hand-drawn in 2D, not CGI. Keep dreaming, NewportMuse, keep dreaming. ;)

Same here and include all of the Smurfs from the other medias, including the upcoming Lost Village movie.  I mean, they're planning on doing a new Ghostbusters spin-off.  Oh well, at least they're doing something right by making the CG look like the classic Hanna-Barbera art style.

My idea for a new Smurf cartoon show, besides being 2D, is a reboot of the original Hanna-Barbera series similar to how the British cartoon "DangerMouse" was successfully rebooted last year. Have the original TV cast including Grandpa, Nanny, the Smurflings etc. plus selected new Smurfs from the movies and taking place after the setting of "Lost Village". As I shared before, I think a new series would be more appropriate on PBS or Disney Channel rather than Cartoon Network or Nick because Peyo and his children (Thierry and Veronique Culliford) have always tried to teach something to the kids reading the Smurf comic books while entertaining them. The totally irreverent nature of those last two channels these days would clash with Peyo's vision. And a lot of Smurf fans were turned off by the crude humor Raja Gossman's team smurfed into the first two films.

But of course, that's just my opinion, man... Smooth - wink

And give more episodes to Smurfs who have appeared in only a season (Tracker) or one-three episodes (Marco, Sweepy, Wooly, and so on...), and of course, try to get as many of the original voice actors to come back for one last hooray, especially June Foray since it won't be long until she kicks the bucket.  As for Papa and Smurfette's new voices, definitely keep Jack Angel and Melissa Stern as their new voice actors.  PBS is a maybe, but no Disney Channel!  Disney Channel is about as reliable as CN and Nick these days, which is not very much.  Although CN is currently the lesser of the two 'evils' right now since they decided to revive Samurai Jack, but only to give it its proper closure and it's only on Adult Swim.  I really don't know any other kid-friendly TV channels that a new Smurfs cartoon could air on without getting screwed over by executive meddling...

I'm just glad they actually look like Smurfs instead of those monstrosities from the last two movies.

After the less-than-smurfy US box office performance for "Smurfs 2" (though it did well in Europe), Sony fired Raja Gossman, scrapped their plans for a third CGI-live globetrotting action film (supposedly taking our friends to London), and started from scratch. Their decision to go all-animated was a smurfy good sign, as well as Kelly Asbury's decision to go back to Peyo's comic books for inspiration. Now we'll see if movie audiences will give Sony and the Smurfs another chance. It's dying for a hit because they haven't been doing too well with some of their feature films lately.
